Straight Out

Straight Out talks about how the awareness of being different from others woke up, the feelings of isolation and loneliness, the longing for love, the fear of rejection, the lack of positive role models, and then the precious experience of breaking this vicious circle and gaining peace with one’s part in life. The reactions of the family, the school, the group of friends, and how these experiences color the person’s personality and feelings are described.

The focus is mainly on the collective and existential aspect of the experience – how people face the complex facts of life, strive to break free from their shackles, and acquire a dignified life.
